Did you know...

Gemcutting is the skill of mining and cutting gems.

Jewelcrafting is the art of making jewelry and bracelets. Arkaz has a variety of amulets, rings, and bracers that are unique to this world.

Glassmaking is a unique craft to Arkaz. The Avariel of Arkaz have perfected a unique type of glassmaking, called Glassteel, that allows them to forge strong weapons out of pure glass.

Did you know access to both the Isle of Avarine and the City of Yamman Arda is no longer restricted based on alignments? Due to a series of events, it no longer matters whether you're Lawful Good, Neutral Evil or Chaotic Awesome!

On the Isle of Nuvar ...

The Isle of Nuvar is full of whispers and rumors of a secret war-time organization. People don't know where it is located exactly, what its primary purpose is or who is running it, but one thing is for certain, people ~know!~ it exists.

"The N.S.W.D. is what I heard it called!" one farmer firmly proclaims in the Black Swan inside the Town of Nuvar, "I know it, right as rain!" His theory is rejected by some, and confirmed by others.

A guard in Heroes Walk converses with a pair of traveling merchants. "I heard it's run by those people over in the Nuvar School of Magic down south," he insists. The two merchants scoff. "War-time organization? They're a bunch of silly people in bathrobes, they couldn't lead an organization if they tried!"

No two conversations are the same, nor are the rumors therein, but one thing is for sure, there's something secret going on!

Did you know that weapon crafting is getting revamped? Take a look at your local anvil to see the new recipes available for crafting! Arkaz now uses an upgrade based system where you take a less powerful version of the weapon to make the better version!

Did you know your character can write books? It's as easy as collecting the materials below, and sending the DM Staff a PM with the content and the name of your literary work! As an added bonus, there's a chance your book will be added to the Arkaz loot tables as random drops!(You can request it not, if you'd like)

• 10 pieces Wood and 10 Ettercap Glands
  1 Leather Hide(cured)
  1 Black Dye(crafted, not the kind you buy)
  1 Dye of choice for the cover(also crafted)

Did you know our Crafting System is being streamlined and new items added all the time?

Our Builders are busily working to constantly improve and refine our crafting system as well as we have over the last year added a totally new craft.

Also when you reach Level 10 in a craft in order to obtain the Master Crafting Kit in the craft of your choice, you need to contact our DM staff to request a Crafting Quest to obtain your new kit.

We will try to schedule Crafting Classes in 2012, so get ready to learn some new things!

Did you know Arkaz has a custom language system based on classes and races? To activate the system, type the following commands into the chat bar.

!list language - This will list all the languages your character knows in the server message window.
!speak [language] - This will switch your language to the desired one.
!speak Common - This will switch your language back to ye' old default.

So, if you want to speak Elven with your character, simply type ...

!speak Elven

... type away until you're satisfied, then switch back by typing ...

!speak Common

P.S. A word of warning, the Lore skill allows characters to translate part or all of another language depending on their score. They might just pick up what you're saying!

P.S.S. It is possible to learn new languages! If there's one you're interested in-Dwarven, Elven, Infernal, Druidic, Animal-send the Dungeon Masters a PM with a request!(A reason beyond, "It's cool," would be a good idea to)
