In case you missed it. Gamespy is shutting down. This will impact a TON of games.

Here's a big list

What does this mean for Arkaz? We don't use the Master Server to connect anymore? Will we be affected?

As long as you can direct connect it shouldn't be a problem.

Is there a way to turn off the Master Server message? I still get it and can't find a way to turn it off. :(

if you mean the Master server timeout message, this is a neat little trick to bypass it
For instant master server timeouts, add this line to your /etc/hosts
Code:

0.0.0.1 nwmaster.bioware.com
The tip was originally for windows, setting it to 0.0.0.0, but that is a valid address on *nix (and guessing MacOS X too)

Ok, where do I find this? I've looked in all the folders in my NWN.

Its not a NWN file its a windows system file and where it is depends on what OS you have.

We're running Windows XP via Parallels on our Macs. I can access the Windows files, but not sure what I'm looking for.

I have not idea where to find the /etc/hosts file on a Mac, if it even has one, or what its equivalent is sorry.
