Sometimes called the "Bride of Dertmore," Pelagia is a force in her own right. She claims the seas and all who live from it, upon it, or in it as her domain and subjects. Neither overly benign nor cruel, she is a fickle goddess and won't hesitate to raise up storms or creatures to punish those who have offended her, even slightly. By the same token, she will also send smooth sailing, full nets, or even lost treasures to those who please her.

Sailors and fisher-folk often pray to her before embarking on a voyage or casting their nets, commonly pouring a vial of sweet-smelling oil upon the waters. Aesthetic offerings that delight the senses please her most. Followers may also offer beautiful items in her temples or dropped into the waters, preferably of an oceanic theme or hue. Great pains are taken to make appropriately pleasing choices as the wrong choice could result in Pelagia taking insult.

Her priests are often druids or former sailors. It isn't unheard of for them to pray for a seaside village's protection against one of Pelagia's hurricanes. Pelagia's and Dertmore's priests are usually supportive of each other.

Pelagia is a jealous goddess and excessive in her punishment if one of her priests or druids fall. If one of her priests wish to leave her service, they must make offerings and prayers to receive her permission first.

Her temple reflects both power and beauty. The land-based temple is filled with waterfalls and pools. The aquatic temple is known only by legend and is said to exist within the heart of a great whirlpool.

Being a goddess of nature she abhors unnatural things such as the undead and expects her followers to rid the lands of such things.
