Helthor is the lord of the dead. He resides over death with an iron fist. Followers of his can be found tending graveyards and are normally avoided by everyone. While people accept his role in things it's Helthor's actions that scare most people..... Helthor seeks to grow his following and the best way to do that is to have everyone dead.

The most powerful of all the Evil gods of Arkaz made a foolish mistake. He trusted his daughter. With that trust, he created his own downfall.

However, no one knows he is dead ((This means -all- players start without having this knowledge)). On appearance, it seem Helthor is merely weakened greatly. His Sphere is no longer Death, but Murder.

In truth, his daughter, the goddess who planned his death, is disguised as him as well. She takes great delight in the deception.The once powerful god with great followers is reduced to skulking amongst thugs, the underbelly of society or uncouth barbarism - a fitting end to her father who shall be humiliated beyond his grave.

Church:
The highest of the church of Helthor is run by no other than a true priest of Valshar - who would remind them of a time of great power, and his goddess will revel the worshippers' in the loss.

As a whole, the followers of Helthor resents the church of Valshar. However, Followers of Helthor that shows great potential in cunning, may be recruited by the inner circle of the Church of Valshar to reveal the truth and enlightenment of their god.

Of course... that often means the Church of Helthor aren't left with the brightest.
