The Island of Eachna

The Island of Eachna is not like the other islands in the chain.
It was formed by a massive volcanic eruption, and as such is a very dry, sandy place. Underneath the sandy rock are many complex cave systems, some of which still have molten lava running though them
It is populated mainly by two races, mortal enemies of each other, the gnolls and the wemics. Both races live here not by choice, but by necessity, the permanent dryness of the land keeping fur clean and unmatted.
The dryness of the land means certain plants grow here that are not available anywhere else in the island chain.
