Repeat scenario until the body count is about 16 baddies dead. He then goes home, angry because his night out didn't blow off enough steam and he's still worried about his friend.

He killed baddies, not goodies, yes. But he killed them terribly (imagine claws, fangs, spleen going "splat!" against the alley wall) and he killed them for no higher purpose than he wanted to "let off some steam." Evil or not?
I may have agreed but for a few points highlighted. To me the first signifies intent and the second the reason for the act in the first place.

*grumbles and stomps off* Alright alright I concede..you win....Darn you Dae for being so darn through...LOL...good point...shot with complete accuracy..Are you sure your not an arcane archer..LOL

You are killing me. Nope in RL I am a coder and write specs for testing. I also love to test and have a tendency to analyze the details. Though I did used to shoot competition at 100 plus yards with iron sights.

Realized I didn't answer the follow-up questions regarding the PnP character. Yes, he did deliberately shapeshift to something helpless to lure baddies to him so he could kill them. He was not in an area where he thought he could find his friend. He was upset and blowing off steam by killing the way others might blow off steam by jogging. Guess that makes him evil!

One thing I find interesting about this flavor of evil is that I'm not trying to play him evil. All his choices are natural (IC) and can be argued by him as "just and right". (The baddies he killed: Why allow those who prey on children to live or be tried by a corrupt justice system?)

I find it interesting his actions make him evil yet he doesn't feel like he's evil. And his friends may wince at some of his choices, but even the most lawful of the group would leap to defend him.

As for the original topic of the thread, sounds like the soundest advice for would-be evils is:
1. Make sure others around you have fun with your evil ways.
2. Don't play "stupid evil", play it smart.
3. Don't be afraid of working with the Team on evil plots, etc.

Thanks for all the great input! :D

Ok as for what one perceives as evil...

Yes your character doesn't think he is evil, BUT it all depends on morality and your upbringing and customs of your nation.

Like no one thinks they are on the wrong side of a war else they wouldn't be fighting.

But in general if the majority of nations, people, etc..think that your doings are evil then you are evil.

Yes in your character's view he may not be evil in going out and persuing justice outside of the system.. For example...In RL..if a person goes out and...say Prays on helpless children...Is it right by the LAWS of the land for me to go out and punish that individual myself. Yes most of society would cheer me, but the deed itself would be unlawful and what I do would determine evil it was. Did I beat the individual with passion of knowing it could have been my child, or the other extreme beat the invdividual and drag said person to a place where I could torture to the brink of death then wait for healing and then start over until the body finally gives out and the person dies from stress. Depends on what your society deems as evil. But the customs and upbringing of your character will determine what he/she sees as evil, just, etc. But that is why there are so many varieties of good, evil, neutral. Of course.....*looks around for Dae* THIS is all IMOO...lol *crouches and waits for Dae to come and correct him again*
