Character goes to the worst part of town and shapeshifts to that of a helpless lost child. When child is threatened by baddies, he shapeshifts to something monsterous and rips them apart. Repeat scenario until the body count is about 16 baddies dead. He then goes home, angry because his night out didn't blow off enough steam and he's still worried about his friend.
He killed baddies, not goodies, yes. But he killed them terribly (imagine claws, fangs, spleen going "splat!" against the alley wall) and he killed them for no higher purpose than he wanted to "let off some steam." Evil or not?
