picture Mech Warrior, but in a html online world. Battles are taken in turns with or without you. Every 5 minutes I can attack someone, and base on the outcome I gain cash and XP. The battles occur even if you are offline, so you can log back in and find out you've been attacked several times...the game does protect you a little by only allowing a player to be attacked once an hour.
So far I've reached level 6(Almost 7), moved to the secend level tech(mech) and joined one of the top 5 clans.
