A malfactor would be able to recharge magic items for any class. They would draw from your lifeforce (XP) to do this and charge you gold. This would make it so only one person would be needed. For example my char Jeathrow has a good UMD and has magic items for GMW, and keen edge, resurestion rods, and the plot teleport ring and he has a hard time getting even the ring recharged as much as he uses it while gather crafting items. And you cant very well ask other chars to give up there xp to recharge my good magic devices. Most of the time so I'm left not being able to use them as I would like too. Matter of fact the two items with GMW and keen egde I've only use once each to try them out becouse of the problem of regharging.

The issue addressed was that a level 1 wizard could recharge any item, but a session vetren basher of 40 has no one available to recharge any item. And it would be unrealistic for him to try to exspect others to freely give there lifeforce (xp) to do so. There is a big differance between being able to use your items on occation when needed and never being able to use them becouse there is no way to recharge them. Any item costing lifeforce (XP) to recharge would not be use 24 / 7, unless you was a glutten for punishment.
