Cloud of logical nonexistance

Post by eclipse » Mon Dec 11, 2006 9:25 pm

Getting this message -> 'The item vanishes into a cloud of logical nonexistance',
sometime when I'm taking something from a chest and adding it on a stack of the same item in the inventory.
The bad that's all the stack vanishes, any way to avoid it, anything that one should pay attention about it?

It happened with potions, crafting stacks and :( diamonds

Its anti duping code that Avlis wrote.

Terry i believe there may be a newer version of the PChest code we need

I'll look, I thought I had the latest code, but I'll recheck.

Could it be when I'm trying to stack something from a chest stack onto the same item in my inventory but collected off world, like diamonds or potions but this not explain the crafting item stack. To be 100% sure I will test it, bringing back some potions or gems from off world.

It happens in Ferrell on Avlistoo with items from different sources.

Items caught fishing dont stack with stuff bought at the AKN or with stuff from PChests

it's a bug in the code, We're working on it. From what I hear and Dae can shed more light, you don't have this problem if you move stacks into bags first.

Themicles just fixed this problem over on Tairis, recently...he said the code was already in the most recent package, to do so. He could probably shed more light on exactly what needs to be done. ;)
