Portaling problem

Sorry if this is not the correct place to post this.

Ive been in Arkaz about a week now, having fun exploring and doing the quests i run across.

I recently found the portal back to Ysgard (giving me a sense of relief), anyhow I was not ready to go so i came back. I noticed my inventory was a bit different and then i noticed my XP was about 3-4k short.

Im not sure what happened exactally but I believe i lost everything ive done here in Arkaz in the week ive been here. Just a heads up that something is wrong.

I think its too late to fix anything because ive already went to Hala and back.

anyhow, I though someone should know that this kind of thing is happening.

did you try and portal back to Arkaz or just log back in?

If you just logged back in then you should be fine. If you portaled back, did it transwer your bic? When you got back to Arkaz was you inventory and xp correct? If it was then jus hold on. It's possible we need to restart the servers. It seems that after long periods of time the portals become unstable and the servers need restarting. Also I've noticed if one of the servers go down for a period of time then both need restarted in order to reset the portals. I'll see if we can get everyone restarted when I get home from work.

One thing about the inventory:

With one of my PC have had the same sensation....

seems like different Worlds calculate different e.g. the weight

I know someone else having the same portal problem.
One time Arkaz to Ysgard a whole group portalled well but one, he got the same bic he had before comming to Arkaz, and this happens for him everytime he comes to Arkaz, his update bic file on Arkaz is not transferred well back to Ysgard. This's making him unable to come to Arkaz.

Before I ever jump through any portal, the first thing I do is jot down my current XP on a scrap piece of paper. The first thing I do after jumping through the portal is check my XP. It has yet to be different, but if it ever is, the last thing I want to do is jump back through the portal. Best to just disconnect right there and try contacting the team members of the respective worlds if I am unable to go back through the portal in the same direction I tried (due to being dominated).

No I didnt just log out, i wish that was the case. I found the portal to Ysgard by using it ,I was happy that i had found it finally and without thinking, I portaled back to Arkaz since i was not finishished exploring, I was simply glad to find the portal.

I didnt notice anything unusual until after it was all said and done. I believe I recieved my old bic file from when i first came to Arkaz.

My inventory is in tact, but some of the little things were here that i had either sold or trashed after arrival, also all the things ive found while on Arkas were gone.

I have no idea if any of the quests i was working on got messed up or not.

the xp I lost is only an estimate i just knew i was close to a certain amount and i was once again far below that.

I think ill be taking Bruno's advice and jotting things down in the future.

quests are fine, those are all stored in the DB. If it's a major loss you could talk to the last world you were on and as for a character restore.

The loss isnt major, its only about 3 or 4 thousand and that was just the xp ive acquired here in Arkaz over the last week or so.
A character restore wouldnt do any good because whats saved on Hala is what i was restored to when i portaled back to there from here in the first place. Then of course when i portaled back here from Hala i brought that old bic with me that overwrote the one here in Arkaz and here i am, no worries, just wanted you to know this happened and all that.
