My thoughts on the subject,
If my good character, Corwin, saw one in town, he would kill it on sight. Unless someone claimed it as theirs then he would insist they dismiss it. If they didn't he would then destroy it.
Kyle, has summoned undead in town before but usually as a joke when with other people, back when he was allowed in town

I would totally expect people to attack it if they saw it under other circumstances.
As far as summoning an undead and running through town visiting the merchants and stuff, and acting like it was a normal summons would be cheesing and taking advantage of the game engine in the absence of a dm.

I'd put undead KoS right now in any town location. Being in control of one would probably cause the townspeople to think you are involved in the attacks and could lead to you being attacked.

I saw the posting on Avlis and it was quite good in fact. Sonja did reply to it as well ICly there.
I don't know if I would call it cheesy though, more in poor taste if you know what is happening on Nuvar currently. I cannot conceive of Sonja ever summoning an undead. She will not gate in any evil summons and in fact a few others she would be hard pressed to use. Her polymorph spell is somewhat restrictive as well but I just consider that part of what happens when you play a L/G character.
