Client Haks vs. World/Copap Haks

I noticed a posting on the Hala boards about Hak editing to make wings show through a cloak.

When I read this I thought fine, if you want to see Sonja's wings I don't care. Now as that is not a world based Hak or an altered one would that information be IG for the player who decided it was something they wanted? I viewed it the same as I would finding a Hak that removes the clothing from all the PCs and NPCs, you sure couldn't emote viewing everyone naked.

How is this viewed on Arkaz? Avlis went to the trouble of altering this server based and not client based.

I personally don't like it. It means no one with wings will be able to hide them if they want. Which will screw some pc's who prefer to keep them hidden.

IMO - Seeing wings through a cloak by this client side hak is ooc knowledge and shouldn't be used ic.
