Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this problem.

I tried to put in a new journal entry for Michi's thread and as soon as I try to preview or submit the post, it just redirects me to the main www.arkaz.com page with no errors. if it's a short 1 or 2 words.. it will post...

Don't seem to have any other issues with PMs or ic posts, just the journals..

I've tried 2 PCs.. both having Internet explorer and firefox.. don't matter what I use.

Any suggestions?

I heard someone else report this issue recently - not entirely sure what the cause is but I'll try to look into it. Knowing how phpBB works (or should work) I rate it as a bit of a mystery...

I had a problem a while ago quite similar to this. In my case I used a reserved word in the text. The word in my case was u.n.i.o.n. without the periods seperating the word. It still griefs the same way today. It is called embedded SQL and is a hackers tool.

Oh , in that case it leaves me a pretty good idea of what's happening. I'd take a guess that the server hosting the arkaz website uses mod_security (or something similar) and is filtering out what is submitted if it sees certain words. I used to have the same thing set up on one of my servers (excepted it didn't silently discard info, it gave a big 403 error - fun!) but eventually removed most of the checks for reasons along the lines of what are being noted here.

As it's something the web host will likely have set up, I'm not entirely sure we can get it changed but y'never know. ;)
