How are we doing
I'd like to take this time to ask you the players how we the team are doing.
Feel free to post anything, good or bad. If you do not feel right posting something bad in the open, feel free to PM me. Let us know what we are doing right and what we are doing wrong.
Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Well, guess I get to answer first. I personally have been very happy with my time on Arkaz. The player base is wonderful, and the DM interactions I have had have been great. Out of all the copap servers, Arkaz seems to have the most intimate feel to me.

I've had fun for the most part on Arkaz, which has in no small part been down to the players and certain DM's.
That said... one of the easiest and fastest ways to run a player off a server is to frustrate them beyond enjoyment and make them feel like nothing they do actually matters.
If a plot/interaction is being run and RL interferes, meaning that it needs to be put on hold for any reason, then the players need to be informed of that. If it's allowed to simply run on and drag out with no apparent reason, then all that's accomplished is angry players, uncharacteristic IC responses (which often also end up being punished - further compounding the problem) and a lost desire to log into Arkaz anymore.
I'm not saying that plots shouldn't be long - simply that they shouldn't be left stagnant with no explanation.

We need a 24/7 quest build. In other words, there should be sufficient, repeatable quests/activities for characters of all levels to entertain themselves if alone on the server.

I'm afraid that I'm going to have a problem with the portal from Hala dropping one in the open ocean, from whence one is rescued by ship, very soon. Egil is courageous enough to risk it, but if Soleis arrives from Hala and nearly drowns twice in near succession, much less twice in a row, he's just not going to risk it a third time. (He's already been made terrified of drowning by the tales of Ysgard's sea god, Aegir.)

May I add that to portal twice to get back to Hala is a bit unwieldy? Is there a way to add the ship back to the Lost Isle back to the port in Nuvar or move the Lost Isle to the other server?
Just thought I'd add my two coppers....
Otherwise, not a bad idea.

Re: How are we doing
First I would like to say the team is the greatest. A job well done to all of you. Thanks for all your time and hard work you have invested in us and the server.
There is one small frustrating area to me The Graveyard. I have a monk with 7 attacks, 5 with a redgate kama, 2 with a dissolving kama and monk speed of plus 30% but the lag generated by the fog has left her dead or nearly dead many times. The monsters generated there are not too over powering for her by no means but the lag only affects the PC not her attackers. I feel the awsome visial effects of the fog is way over shadowed but the overwelming lag.
Respectfully submitted

Re: How are we doing
Have to agree on that one. The graveyard looks awesome wit hthe fog and everything but it is absolutely killer on the lag. Any chance of getting the fog removed?
