Now that there is all these clams in the water, I was wondering if there would be a chance like (5%, 1 in 20) of finding a pearl in one of these clams.

That is a great suggestion!

Also, would it be possible to have the clam meat be used in some crafting recipe? (If it isn't already.)

That was the initial plan when I made them, but I never got around to it.
