Hey there all, long time no see! Finally got my new computer up and running (had to fix a few things and eventually replace a bad RAM chip) and am now trying to re-install Neverwinter and the haks. Having a number of things not working and was wondering if anyone else is running it on Windows 7 (64-bit). For all I know it may be incompatable as some of my old software is. Would appreciate any advice as I'd love to get back in game.

Thanks,

Chris (Thomas Drakkonn)

You can do it, you need to enable windows XP compatibility mode. I know Carpazo is running on Win7. Maybe he'll chime in and tell you how to do it?

Wow some thing computer I know about. There are there kinds of windows 7. Two of them have an exp mode so you can play nwn on it. I am installing the pro tomorrow. I hope to have it all done in a day or so. I busted up my hand so going to the doctors is first on my list but I hope to send an update on this.

P.S. my rping will be a bit and light till my hand heals.

Well since I'm being called out by GP I guess i will chime in, just learn how to misspell my account name properly next time okay? :P

Okay so I did just start running NWN on Windows 7. Everything runs beautifully until it crashes. *shrugs* Still trying to figure out why it does and its likely just something to do with my copy cause I've always crashed during certain points at the game.

Like Jinx and GP said you can set programs to run under previous versions of Windows if they aren't compatible with 7. Just right right click and find 'Troubleshoot Compatibility' to let the system set it up automatically, or find it under the 'Properties' menu to choose the settings yourself. Hasn't made a difference for me though.

So yea, sorry to make Windows 7 sound broken, it is likely just fine and User Error is the problem for me. Hope that helped.

Thanks for the input guys. I have it up and running (did a short IG test last night) and so far seems to be fine. I did the compatability set-up as well just to be sure. I have a feeling that the original problems had to do with how I was downloading and installing the CEP and the WinRAR. I pretty much uninstalled everything and re-did and seems good to go. See ya all IG soon!
