Cannot Direct Connect

Trying to direct connect using
nwmain.exe +connect server.arkaz.org:5121
nwmain.exe +connect server.arkaz.org:5122
nwmain.exe +connect server.arkaz.org:5123
or
nwmain.exe +connect 198.101.12.59:5121~31 (Avlis servers)
I run into "Connection error: Could not translate address."

Now thankfully for me I can log in to Avlis servers with History/Favorites... but since Ysgard/Arkaz aren't on stable IP address' to stay active in those tabs I can't figure out any way to log in to them. This started yesterday for me even after rebooting everything today nothing is "fixed", so I may need to contact my internet provider and see what they changed that I can no longer get in to some of my favorite places!

If anyone has any ideas, I can (obviously) still get to most of the interwebs and I'll be happy to check back throughout the night or you could catch me on IRC. afaik it's just NWN direct connect that went goofy yesterday.

Basically the same problem for me, so I'm not sure it's my ISP (though I sent them an e-mail).
Though I don't get the 'could not translate address' but just time-outs.

not sure because I see people on. Could be many factors.

Can you try running a trace route to the addresses.

Here is a working one to compare Terry

DL when you run the tracert you need to right click to bring up the menu and select edit/mark. Then mark the area to copy. Go back to the menu and select edit/copy. I then past it in notepad to clean it up a little. Then copy that to the forums.

okay so you are getting here. unless your ISP is blocking the port you should get in.

you could try telnetting to the port

open a cmd prompt and enter telnet server.arkaz.org 5121

After a few days of problems, I rebooted my PC... and now direct connect works to both Avlis & Arkaz.
