Arkaz Policy on PrC and Level Banking

Post by Daemona » Wed May 21, 2008 12:01 pm

The only approved time for banking a level of a character on Arkaz is during your PrC quest. There are basically two types of PrC (Prestige Class) quests.

1) DM Driven PrC quest: After making a request to the team for your PrC you must wait for a DM or Team Member to contact you. There must also be an IC reason for the PrC requested. Level banking can only occur with the agreement of the DM involved in the event(s) for your class. You should also be RPing the desire or traits of this class.
2) Player Driven PrC quest: Arkaz supports the PrC wand that is given once a character has met Mastery of their PrC (level 10). If you are using a Master of the class then it is required you contact the Head DM (Alphonse). An approved plot line for the character to receive and provide the PrC must be provided and approved.

Not every PrC is available that NWN supports however, such as Harper Scout and Champion of Torm. When leveling you will see a large number of custom PrC selections as well. Those which are not NWN specific cannot be selected as they are world specific.

Most classes are trainable such as Weapons Master or Arcane Archer.

One class however is not a trainable class and that is Dragon Disciple, as it is an inherited class. Dragon Disciple will require approval in advance of character creation. Once approval is provided there will be no guarantee of receiving the PrC. Customarily it is only given to players who show a dedication to the world and RP the class correctly.

The number of levels banked will require team approval, either by the DM running the plot or by the Head DM (Greg_Pooh).

More than a single PrC given would be extremely rare and the requirements near impossible to meet.

In addition skill points should never be banked with one exception which is when the next level in the desired skill requires two points and you only have one banked in the character. This action will be watched closely by the team.
