***New Areas Added!***
Be careful when venturing the Undersea... rumours persist of an ancient evil awakened by strange, subnautical creatures. (*note - this is a Very Difficult Area, with a High Chance of Certain Death. You'd be wise to not go alone, take plenty of supplies, and to stay at home where it's safe)

***Quests Added!***
There are almost a dozen new quests added to help you in your explorations - look out for some of the newer NPCs on the Isle of Iron

**Minor Tweaks**

There are several minor tweaks and a couple of twerks to balance out the new quests and crafting skills.

***New Areas Added!***
Expect stiffer resistance from blossoming populations of Undergorge creatures, especially the rusty or stoney kind.

***New Quests Added***
For those wishing a reason (as if they need one) to explore the perils of the Undergorge and it's environs, additional quests have been added with varying levels of reward - including the much coveted Hero of Georgestone trophy. Now you too can enjoy the hospitality of Gorgestone as a true hero of the people or stick your hand up an ancient Horror.

***Minor Fixes and Balancing Acts***
Some minor tweaks to existing areas to make the questing heroes accomplishments more rewarding - and some fixes to Speartop Mountain to let everyone enjoy the full gloom of the Dungeon.

***Toilora Updates too!***
Rumours of new areas and some areas of specific interest to crafters are possibly accurate or maybe groundless.

Our world-master, Mhog has uploaded yet more updates. I for one, welcome our new Wemmic overlord.

***Magnetic Loadstone discovered in the Underground!*
When exploring the Underground, especially the areas around Gorgestone, you may notice your mappes and compass directions have changed - existing areas have been "shuffled" to ensure the above-ground and underground areas follow a logical pattern.

***New Areas added***
The slopes of Mt Delest have been slightly expanded to match up with the Underground areas - probably. The area mappes are not all of the same size and extend in three dimensions, which can be confusing for non-cartographic characters.

***New Quests!***
Not five, not six but three new quests have been added to encourage exploration.

***Minor Tweaks***
Some existing areas have had minor tweaks, greater Exploration XP rewards and a more certain chance of death for all the family.

***New Items***
Many new items have been added to the Underground, some powerful, others less so.

Happy Weekend to everyone and Zerub!

***New areas added***
Several new areas have been uncovered on the Ilse of Iron: Be careful where you explore. Rumours of magical creatures and incursions of foul were monsters are probably largely unfounded.

***New Quests added***
Intrepid explorers and delvers are required to help solve all of the little problems that plague the every day gnomes and dwarves.

***New items and creatures***
Even some creatures that the more long-toothed adventurer may *think* they understand have been updated. Now with extra spiky death!
More books and race specific loot!

***Exciting Updates on Iron Server***

**Adventurer's Supplies**
Certain of new areas are not your average "kill monster, go into next room" Pacman dungeons.
  • These dungeons will require more than a little thought. Ever wonder why the old school adventurer's shoppes sold 10ft poles, ropes, crampons, climbing spikes, grappling hooks, oil (lamp), gloves, torches and listening cones?
Some of the new dungeon areas cannot be traversed by "normal means". There are hidden clues in the text and descriptions of the areas on how to proceed.
  • And just to make it more interesting for those who run around with the TAB key glued down... not all of the items or objects can be detected like that - you'll have to search certain areas "by hand".
**Adventurer's Suprise**
There is an Artifact of Leair waiting to be discovered in each of the new dungeons. Turn it in to Leair for a small xp / coin / crafting reward. One per person, only until the next server reset!

**New Areas to explore and perish in**
  • Expanded animal lairs in and around Mt Delest
  • Lycanthropes everywhere! Not one, but two lycan lairs have been reported.
  • Even Gnomes have to go sometime - the Gorgestone Sewers have been opened. This is in no way connected with the previous points.
  • Wet and wild - ancient woodlands near the Teeth of Iron can now be wandered through. WARNING: There are squirrels.
  • Ancient Tower of Mystery - A new, deadly dungeon. Note: this is not one of your Pacman dungeons.
*Stonebridge Revisited*
The guards and townsfolk of Stonebridge are more communicative and are able to sit and gossip for as long as they like. They have local information and hints, as well as spreading humorous or malicious rumours.

**New Monsters**
  • Many existing monsters and animals have been "adjusted" to scale with the Party. If you go into the Den of the Legendary Sloth of Tanawhen Hai, then expect the legends to be true
  • Lower level monsters that would have no reason to be Epic have not been touched, but then, what epic level PC would slaughter low level monsters? Especially not with a DM watching.

**New Quests**
There are now 22 scripted quests of varying levels of lethality on the Iron Server

**Updated Treasure and Loot**
  • Tweaks to the treasure and loot drops
  • Exploration XP has been fiddled with to make the deeper area more rewarding.
*Minor bug fixes*
There have been a lot of these reported and corrected. Blame goblins.

***New areas added on the Iron Server***
And not just on the Isle of Iron!
There's a new island to find, explore and perish on. Complete with added Monkeys. A murder, a mystery and possibly a plot to find out exactly what happened to the missing colonists.

This isn't a pacman dungeon, it's not one for those seeking a 10 minute dungeon crawl with underpowered monsters and lots of loot. You'll need to put your Cap of Thinking on to even get access to the Island. Not to mention the monkeys. You'd be wise to take your Adventuring Kit and bring a machette.

(Note: This tiny island is still very much in progress and the "dungeon" only gets as far as Level 2. I'd really like to hear any feedback on this. If all goes well, I'll make it easier to access in future updates, and expand on the lower levels of the dungeon of inexplicable death.)

**Updates to existing areas**
Obligatory updates to the Isle of Iron also - look out for more quests, more books and more ponies.

**Exciting new updates on the Iron Server**
The Forgotten Isle remembered - there's a new mini-island to explore, complete with it's own quests and villains.
Please be patient with this - the "dungeon" is now live to level 3 but no futher. If you'd like to see what's occuring there, try and find a boat captain to take you. You may not be able to complete the mission, but I'd still welcome feedback.

*minor bugfixes to minor bugs*
Throught the Isle of Iron, Gorgestone and the Forgotten Isle.

*addional feedback and text on scripts*
You should notice in some areas, there is additional feedback given when using / abusing / hitting or otherwise interacting with an item. These are all Clues. Some of them are penalties (try bashing the wrong doors and see).

*New magic items and Adventurer's Equipment*
These have started to appear across the isles on various shopkeepers seeking to earn gold.

*More ponies*

There are more ponies.

**Updates to the Iron Server**
The Mysterious Ruins on the Forgotten Isle reach a little deeper into the underground, with the explanations to the missing colonists just tantalisingly out of reach... (Added another level of traps and deadly death).

**Minor updates to existing areas**
Additional feedback added to all of those enigmatic levers, switches, ropes and pullies
New scripts added to allow your adventurers to relive the classic DnD riddle solving. That 10ft Pole will come in handy, and not just to fend off DemonLady's horde of PCs.
Treasure - new and exciting magic items and flavoursome kit... if you can find it.
Existing areas - minor revamps to existing puzzles, traps and riddles.

***Updates to Iron***
New dungeon added - the unspeakable gnolls that haunt the eastern edges of the Undersea have become more active... rumours are spreading that they are capturing other under-denizens and sacrificing them to a dark god... The dungeon can be looted quite happily, but you may get more of a reward if you speak to one of the herbalists of Gorgestone first...

*New items added*
More books to support the storyline of those filthy gnolls

*New creatures added*
More gnolls, their leader and their Dark God.

The Dark God of the Unwashed Gnolls can prove quite a challenge to lower levels. Go not alone, or settle your affairs before you leave.

***More Updates, a New System, More Quests and not one, not four but three New Dungeons***

**Skill checks**
Found a map? Spotted some fresh tracks? Ever wondered just what that particular fungus is? Investigating a discovered corpse?
A new method of utilising a PCs skills has been added to some areas, and will be rolled out further across the Isles. It allows a little more interaction with the environment and a lot more flavour for adventuring. For example - if a wise PC is able to decipher a map, she may be able to reveal the entire area and all its secrets; an experienced ranger can tell just how many creatures made those tracks; a skilled botanist may find out more about those interesting red fungi you just ate, or one skilled in herbalism / medicine may be able to reveal the cause of death in dead bodies...

**Deep underground**
The Twisted Tunnels have become much more dangerous... Expect to find the very passageways and catacombs hostile to the unwary. (Interactive environmental effects, plants and fungi).
Deeper areas of the Twisted Tunnels are rumoured to be excellent breeding grounds for strange cave-bird-things in the dreaded Broodgulch (mid level dungeon).
Deeper still something more mysterious lurks - just what it is, is unknown as none have returned. (The Shambling Shanty - mid to high level dungeon)

**On the Isle of Iron**
Life is hard as an innkeeper, especially when you keep forgetting your own head. (FOIG the Innkeeper quest - low level dungeon)

*Just a note on the dungeons and areas*
These are not hack and slash / pacman dungeons with overpowered end bosses - there are more than enough of those available already. These new areas are traditional role playing dungeons. Expect puzzles, traps and atmosphere throughout. You will need adventuring supplies to complete some of these, and to pay attention to the area itself. And don't forget your 10ft pole.
