Uber Bugbears come to mind? How about shaking ground with undead or a hog that pounds the devil out of you. If any of these sound familiar you may well have been Kazed, as some of blessed by Helthor's presence call it. You must admit that walking up carelessly to a spawn that one hit usually kills and you end near death youself adds a bit of spice to the game.

Spice indeed! I remember all of those happening, and here I thought it was Al or Terry. You'd think after playing this game for 4 years I'd just give up trying to identify exactly which DM is kickin my arse.

To keep this thread on topic, I'll ask this: Can a lvl 1 char get to lvl 2 without leaving town? After getting my arse handed to me several times, I'm thinking lvl 1s should stay in town and not even go near those gates, hehe.

EDIT: Oh and about those hard hits.....remember Wyland is an off-world cleric.

And he is out of heal potions...thanks to Helthor!

He is not kidding here at all.

Kaz, it is not a challenge, I just want to be ready for the weekend when it is Al's turn to burn up the kits.
