NWN 1.69 - General Status

We've got NWN 1.69 up and running, so here's a general status post so you know where things are at.


- Cloaks not showing

For some reason, cloaks aren't showing up. It's being looked in to.


- Red Dragon Disciple: Invalid Bic

Those of you with the Red Dragon Disciple class may now receive a message on login stating the bic is invalid. With the introduction of the updated Dragon Disciple class to allow any color, we need to update the bics of those who play this class. In the mean time, we've disabled the error for this particular class so you can continue to play. We'll slowly work through/update the bics and PM you when yours has been updated.


- Ridable horses

I'd bet this was on everyone's mind somewhere. They're disabled for now, but who knows what the future holds. :)

Is this a CoPaP fix then for the DD class? I do not recall seeing anything on the patch that would permit this. If you can just let me know when you intend to do it a day in advance. That way I will make sure Sonja is not played. After a two year wait she will finally be a real WDD, I can hardly wait.

As for the horses I would be curious to see just how much lag that created on a test server. I would bet though that horses would take up a lot of space in a pathway and make it very difficult to move around them. I see that already with a lot of the shifter forms.

So this is going to be required bic editing on ysgard/hala and Avlis also Thor?

To my understanding if this is the CoPaP hak for the custom PrC then the answer should be no. Original discussions on CoPaP was that the custom PrC would be addressed after the initial 1.69 release.

All DD's need a bic edit to fix the problem. The fix will carry over to other worlds when you portal.

We believe we have the cloak issue fixed. Three cheers for Thor!

The modules will be updated with the fix later when Terror gets home from work.

If you have portalled off of Arkaz since 1.69 has gone in, you will need to come back to Arkaz and your PC should be automagically fixed after the modules are updated tonight, thanks to Thor's 1337 lolcat coding skillz.

Again, keep your eye out for other issues, and let us know! (And if you really wanna help, keep two eyes out!)
