an unexpected journey
So, Soleis was exploring on Ysgard, and unexpectedly found himself on a ship on Arkaz! Very cool! Which raises the vital question: Does this means of arrival still involve drowning? (Do you actually arrive on the ship? Do you still arrive in the water, drown, and are resuscitated? Do you arrive in the water but a swimmer can reach the ship? Do flying creatures arrive in the air and can fly to shore?)

Psst. Talk to the NPC on the ship about it.

It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose. That is not weakness, that is life.

Not actually there on the boat anymore to talk to the NPC.

*boots Ronan out of "ask the team*
The boat (and its captain's dialogue) remains the same Arkaz side thus far.

From a lore stand point you get dropped in the water and the ship picks you up. Though there are other ways to arrive which put you up on a shore somewhere but we normally leave those turned off because it can be a pain when a group comes over and end up scattered to the four winds.

The last time I portaled over it dropped me onto the Islands server and not the Iron server. Was this a conscious change back to the way things used to be? I thought the idea of putting the portal on Iron was to keep Islands more stable.

Re: an unexpected journey
Having spoken to someone who spoke to the NPC, it sounds like drowning is no longer mandatory? I therefore assume that a swimmer could make it to the boat or tread water long enough to be picked up, or a flying creature could fly to the boat if it could launch from the water; am I correct?
(Also I hear that the conversation no longer mentions Grubbins or ghosts, so I imagine the destination was deliberately changed. If stability isn't an issue, I do think the arrival at Islands rather than Iron to be preferable.)

Will go with the assumption that I have it right, now; thanks for the answers!
